Some people are still raring to get up and go to
work long after “normal” retirement age rolls around.
That’s great. There’s certainly a financial upside
to continuing to work, just be sure you’re not short-changing
yourself on the lifestyle side of the equation.
You may be able to save more towards your retirement.
You may be eligible for a higher Social Security or pension benefit
(if any) when you do retire.
Your spouse may be able to retire while you continue to work.
You may have fewer years to relax and enjoy time to
yourself.
