Bayard Closser is executive vice president, Wholesale Distribution Strategic Development & Operations responsible for the sales desk, business development for variable annuities and corporate markets, training and development, administration and operations for the variable annuity side.

He began his career with ING in 1998 directing sales for ING Variable Annuities and later ING Funds. He has twenty-five years of experience in the financial services industry, primarily within sales management, wholesaling, marketing and product design, strategic planning, retirement sales and retail brokerage. Prior to ING, he held senior level sales positions with a number of financial services companies, including Funds Distributor, Inc., Fidelity Investments Institutional Services Company, and Monarch Financial Services.

He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. He holds NASD Series 7, 24 and 63 designations.
